Rise and Shine With Cybiant - Agentic Automation - Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur, 25 June 2025 – Cybiant, a leading provider of intelligent automation and data-driven transformation solutions, successfully hosted its latest Rise & Shine with Cybiant event yesterday at the JW Marriott Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Themed Agentic Automation: The Future of Work, the event welcomed 35 senior executives and technology leaders from some of the region’s most forward-thinking organizations.

The event featured thought-provoking sessions and live demonstrations that explored the fast-evolving domain of Agentic Automation – an advanced approach where autonomous agents, powered by artificial intelligence, are designed to make decisions and take action independently, within the context of business operations.

Hosted in collaboration with UiPath, a global leader in enterprise automation, the event brought together expert speakers including:

  • Jan-Willem Middelburg, CEO of Cybiant
  • Tomasz Gaczynski, Presales Manager and Enterprise Automation & AI Expert at UiPath
  • Mike Lim, RPA Team Lead at Cybiant

Attendees were guided through the technological foundations and business applications of agent-based automation, with a strong emphasis on real-world deployment, scaling strategies, and the integration of generative AI in enterprise environments.

Jan-Willem Middelburg opened the morning with a keynote presentation on the evolution of automation, tracing the journey from traditional RPA to cognitive automation and now agentic systems. He emphasized the importance of preparing organizations not just technologically, but culturally, for this transition. Middelburg commented on the event:

“We are entering a new era of automation—one where intelligent agents can reason, learn, and act autonomously. This is not about replacing humans, but augmenting human capabilities to unlock new value. At Cybiant, we believe Agentic Automation will become a cornerstone of the intelligent enterprise. It’s a shift from rule-based execution to outcome-based collaboration between people and machines.”

Tomasz Gaczynski presented UiPath’s vision and roadmap for automation infused with AI capabilities. He demonstrated how UiPath’s AI-powered agents can operate across different platforms, make context-sensitive decisions, and continuously optimize their own workflows.

Mike Lim, who leads Cybiant’s RPA and automation delivery team, shared customer case studies and best practices from recent deployments across the financial, logistics, and public sectors. His session focused on practical strategies for establishing automation governance, identifying agentic use cases, and preparing teams for change.

The event also provided ample opportunity for customers to engage directly with speakers and automation experts, ask questions, and share their own experiences. A networking brunch followed the sessions, where participants continued discussions around the challenges and opportunities of deploying next-generation automation technologies.

With overwhelming positive feedback, the Rise & Shine series continues to be a premier platform for knowledge exchange and executive dialogue in the region. The Agentic Automation edition is expected to be followed by additional sessions across Southeast Asia in the second half of 2025.
