Course Overview
The Public-Private Partnerships Preparation certification confirms that a candidate understands the core elements of a PPP framework and can apply project identification, screening, appraisal, and preparation in a governmental context. Certified candidates can contribute to PPP project development as part of a multidisciplinary team while building capability for more complex tasks.
The APMG Public-Private Partnerships Certification Program was created by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF) and the World Bank Group (WBG), with support from the Public-Private Infrastructure Advisory Facility (PPIAF). This global initiative seeks to raise the quality and consistency of PPP practices. CP3P s recognized as the leading credential for demonstrating alignment with international PPP good practices.
Governments use PPPs to procure infrastructure and services more effectively. The PPP Foundation course explains how PPPs create value when the right conditions exist. The Preparation certification focuses on using PPPs to deliver new or upgraded infrastructure so countries, especially in Emerging Market and Developing Economy regions, can attract private capital and expertise.
Private sector professionals also benefit from the certification. It helps them understand government objectives, institutional arrangements, and project requirements so they can pursue PPP opportunities with greater confidence.
The PPP Certification Program Guide, or PPP Guide, was developed by experienced practitioners to consolidate global best practices and promote consistent terminology. The Preparation Course and Examination draw on Chapters 2 to 5 of the guide. Please see a summary of the PPP Guide below:

The APMG Certified PPP professional is a Registered Trade Mark of the APM Group Limited.

Engaging role played by the instructor and students is what I like most about the course. More examples and case studies for practicality and clarity. Method of instruction should not be ditto explained with the PPP guide, rather from the understanding of the instructor and with his/her experiences. Else there will be no value in the Instruction as students can read and understand by themselves. More time to practice questions well suited to the PPP Preparation course would be helpful

Explanation on topic for the structuring and design of the project contract is good. It would be good to give more time to allow a better understand for the French participants. Thank you to our trainer!
ASHOKE MALIKI –
Like the topic of Project selection and appraisal process. I think trainer need to provide more time learning during the structuring phase and physical training for such a course is better than online learning.

I really appreciated how the course was conducted with some questions to test if we follow and understand the lessons. I was noticed with attention that the Guide was used as much as possible to prepare and enrich the course materials (slides). I think everything is alright though we from the French speaking countries encountered some difficulties to follow and understand deeply the courses. I hope efforts will be done to have French classes for the PPP Preparation as it is the case for the PPP Foundation. I think that will be very helpful.
