Build stage

After the RPA team has selected the right processes for the automation implementation, the focus now will be on building the automation process. Manage stage

Run stage

Once the automation solution has been built using the UiPath StudioX or UiPath Studio, it can be run in many ways by using the UiPath Robots. The use of robots can significantly improve overall productivity and efficiency of operation, especially when it involves repetitive and tedious tasks. In general, there are 2 types of robots, the Attended Robots and the Unattended Robots.

  • The Attended Robots requires human supervision and intervention in completing a task, thus they are on the same workstations which activities between the robots and human users are directly related. With the help of the UiPath Assistant interface, the employee can work easily with the robots in which processes can be started, stopped, monitored and even scheduled with recurrences. Besides that, the Attended robots can be set up to run multiple processes in parallel, including monitoring the actions of the human users and starting their own actions.
  • Unattended Robots work independently and usually on separate, virtual machines. Sometimes they may also require human intervention for questions and exceptions. They should be as productive and independent as possible. If human input is required, the robot should be able to continue working until it receives it.

Engage stage

Often, true and powerful RPA is relatively complex, is not only about simple processes but for company-wide processes. Thus an effective RPA should create a true partnership between robots and the human users. At this Engage stage, is about creating an ecosystem in which the way activities are carried out by humans and robots don’t generate breaks in the processes, instead ensuring a continuous and effective flow. Measure stage
